What are the hours and when should I call?

Netflix operates the call center for this 888-638-3549 phone number 24 hours, 7 days.  The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 3,686 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Netflix phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Netflix staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Netflix is Sunday. The most busy day to call Netflix is Friday.  Again, this is based on a sample of 3,686 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call Netflix is Wednesday.  It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Netflix staffs up on Wednesday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.

Calling this Netflix Customer Number

2025-04-23T00:00:00.000Z

This number appears to work fine when it's not busy, but it's not very effective when there is a delay in speaking to someone. When I dialed the number, I was told that I could either press 1 for English or simply remain on the line, and I'd get connected to the next available representative.

I went ahead and pressed 1 to bypass other language choices, and the system told me that I'd usually be able to find information from Netflix by going to their website. I could also speed things up by logging in to Netflix and getting a code for customer service. I opted not to do this and continued to hold for the promised representative.

However, this didn't end up happening. After about five minutes, I received a message that Netflix was experiencing high call volume and I should try my call again another time or visit Netflix's website for assistance. However, the system didn't hang up at that point, which led me to believe this was simply a standard message to encourage those with simple issues to find another solution to free up the line.

It appeared that was not the case; the number seemed to stop working entirely except to play the same message every two minutes. The automated system seemed like it was no longer trying to connect me with anyone; it felt like it had given up on connecting me and was instead just trying to push me over to the website. After hearing the message five more times, I finally gave up on the call and ended it without getting a solution.

This is a legitimate Netflix number and is described as such, but it doesn't appear to be a number for American customers. When I logged on to Netflix's website to check for myself, I didn't see this number advertised anywhere. Instead, the site suggested calling 1-844-505-2993 for any issues with Netflix and advertised a wait time of five minutes. This number took at least 20 minutes without any kind of response to my call. All advertisements of this number come from third-party sources, not from Netflix itself.

I don't think this number is a great option if you're trying to reach Netflix for customer service. The number isn't the main choice for customer service, and it's not very efficient when high volumes of customers are using it. Given that you can be stuck waiting for a long time, if the number even works properly at all, I would not recommend using this number. It appears there are much better choices available.
