My name is Ashley, and I recently had an unpleasant experience with an Uber driver. I requested a ride to John Hopkins Bayview Hospital, particularly the emergency entrance, due to a swollen ankle impairing my ability to walk. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the driver dropped me off across the parking lot, refusing to take me directly to the entrance despite my requests. His light blue Toyota Camry is registered as 5CY1467, and his name is Fisaha.

My name is Ashley. I requested an Uber driver to take me to the emergency room at John Hopkins Bayview Hospital. I requested twice for him to drop me at the entrance, but he insisted where he stopped was sufficient.

I was overcharged by Uber. My bank declined the transaction since it exceeded the estimated $17-$22 fare to $38. The bank flagged Uber for potential overcharging. I have posted my experience on social media and will leave reviews on Google, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau to address this issue. It is unfair to see Uber overcharging riders while reducing employee pay. I hope this matter gets resolved promptly to prevent this from happening to others. Thank you, Marco M. [redacted]

I'm having trouble navigating the App since it seems too complex and challenging. The FAQs provided are limited and do not cover all potential issues. It would be helpful to have a direct way to reach a Help Desk to describe problems that are not addressed in the current FAQs. There is no option for general feedback or to provide specific details. Including an email address or phone number for support would greatly improve the user experience. This issue is not unique to this App, as other large corporations like Microsoft and Norton also have restricted access to support. I hope this feedback can be conveyed to them. On September 12, I booked a ride for 4:30 am on the 13th. The next morning, I checked the Uber app and noticed that my driver, Jeanna driving a white Honda Odyssey, would be late due to a drop-off at the airport. As she got closer to my location, about 15 minutes away, she suddenly disappeared, and a new driver also bound for the airport was assigned. Realizing I would miss my flight, I had to cancel and find a closer driver. Unfortunately, I still missed my flight. I am requesting the cancellation fee be waived and a credit for the inconvenience. I faced a stressful situation with a late driver who did not answer his phone leading me to cancel the ride. Despite multiple attempts to contact the driver, he was unresponsive and I had to cancel. Now, he is claiming I owe a fee, which I adamantly refuse to pay. Even after cancellation, the driver continued to call and demand payment, displaying a lack of professionalism. The driver arrived late and made no effort to communicate, leading to the cancellation. This experience has left me frustrated, especially since my funds are now on hold. Dealing with this situation while having a family member in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment has been challenging. I urge for better customer service and efficiency to prevent such issues in the future.

I created my Uber account in August of [redacted] using my email, [redacted] Unfortunately, my brother took my phone, gaining access to my email, card information, and Uber account. He changed the account to his email, [redacted], without my consent. Despite trying to log in with my backup codes, his email and password keep autofilling. I had a high status and earned rewards using this account, so I opened a new one with the same email and a new phone number. I believe I should still have access to my old account's rewards and status as I'm the rightful owner. It's unfair that he took over my account, used my credit cards, and deprived me of what I earned.

Hello, I've been experiencing issues with my Uber account. Despite not having my card linked to the account, unauthorized transactions totaling nearly $[redacted] have been made in the past 2 months. I've taken steps to dispute the charges by cancelling and replacing my Capital One card multiple times. However, it seems that another Uber user is somehow getting a hold of my card information with Visa automatically updating the new card details to the Uber account each time. I've tried to block Uber with Capital One and called Visa to stop the automatic updates but to no avail. If there's a way to resolve this, please advise. Otherwise, I may have to close my Capital One card account. I've attached a screenshot for reference. Thank you.

Hello Uber Team, I am reaching out about a recent trip I took from Karukapilly Junction Desabhimani Road, Kochi to Kochi International Airport on the morning of 14/09/21. I had set up my payment method as UPI before the ride, but upon arrival, there seemed to be a delay in the fare request reaching my Google Pay. The driver requested payment through his number on Google Pay, and the trip ended before I received the Uber fare request. After noticing an outstanding payment request from Uber post-check-in, I promptly contacted the driver who refunded me via Google Pay, advising me to settle the outstanding payment through Uber. I followed his instructions, and now I see the trip amount reflected in my Uber credits. I want to ensure that neither the driver nor Uber face any issues due to this. Uber deactivated my account because my document had expired, even though I drove that day. I began working at 7 am, and Uber received an email from Stockport Council at 11 am, notifying them of the suspension. Uber did not log me out, and I was unaware that my document had expired. The council and Uber did not provide me with any notice, making it difficult for me to remember as the document is valid for 3 years. I renewed the document, and Uber reactivated my account, only to deactivate it the following day. Uber claims I drove with a revoked license on that day, which I was unaware of at the time. According to Uber, this violates rule 3.1.

To the Uber team, I had a morning trip to work and entered the address 14-36 140th Street in Jamaica, Queens, New York. However, upon realizing I was far from my destination on the opposite side of town, I re-entered the address multiple times but still encountered issues with the map guidance. I had to input different cross streets to get closer to the correct location. I request a refund for this problematic ride due to the inconvenience it caused me. I will still tip the driver but hope to be fully reimbursed for the delay it caused in getting to work. Kindly address the mapping discrepancies to prevent such experiences in the future. Hello, My spouse and I booked an Uber on Thursday, 9/9/[redacted] to go from LHR to Staybridge Suites in Vauxhall, London. We applied a gift code for the ride, which was accepted in the app. However, we later got a notification stating that there were insufficient funds when using the code. With $[redacted] in the gift card and a $46 fare, we had to pay with a credit card unexpectedly. We verified with Tango that the gift card was loaded with $[redacted] as intended. They suggested reaching out to Uber about the issue. Despite the account still displaying a $[redacted] balance, we are uncertain about the gift code's status. Hello, I have been struggling to access my account for the past three weeks after receiving a message. Following instructions in an email, I obtained a Criminal Background Check certificate after paying a $55 fee. However, I am encountering difficulties uploading the document despite spending over an hour on the phone with various agents without a resolution. I have been a dedicated Uber driver for 4 years, completed over [redacted] trips, and hold a favorable rating of 4.92. However, in June, a misunderstanding regarding child support caused my driver's license to be erroneously suspended. Despite promptly resolving the issue and providing all necessary documentation to Uber and their background check provider, Checkr, my account remains inactive. Checkr confirmed my clear record, yet I continue to receive automated responses instructing me to dispute a matter that has already been resolved in my favor. I have diligently attempted to rectify the situation since June 6th, providing proof of compliance and efforts to clear any misunderstandings. Regrettably, after three long months, I am still unable to resume driving due to the lack of communication and support from Uber's end. My goal is simple - to return to driving part-time, a job I have excelled in without incident for two decades, but I am struggling to navigate the system to reach the appropriate department or individual at Uber to address this matter promptly.

On the evening of 9/15/21, I booked an UberX from San Francisco airport to Castro Valley. I secured a ride with Mohamed for just over $68. However, about 6 miles away, he informed me of a flat tire via the app and requested I cancel the ride. Subsequently, I arranged a ride with Elishia, a Black Ford Escort, but the cost surged to $[redacted].17. The estimated arrival time fluctuated between 10 and 4 minutes, and despite my texts, there was no response. Eventually, a new driver, Remy, in a black Toyota Prius, arrived promptly and provided a good service. The unexpected price increase to $[redacted].17 from the initial $68 quote was concerning, as this was a unique issue for me with Uber.

Subject: Query Regarding Unauthorized $5.00 Tip I was surprised to discover a $5.00 tip on my trip receipt, which I did not authorize. This afternoon, Jordan provided excellent service by picking me up at [redacted] N. Mesa and dropping me off at [redacted] Blanchard, covering a distance of 0.69 miles in just 4 minutes for a total cost of $6.95. I intentionally provided Jordan with a $1.00 cash tip as I preferred not to include the tip on my Uber bill. Unfortunately, due to being on a limited fixed income at 77 years old, I am unable to afford a $5.00 tip in addition to the cash tip I already gave. I only gave him a $1.00 tip out of respect and appreciation. Although I rated Jordan 5 stars, I kindly request a refund of the unauthorized $5.00 tip from my account. I had a disappointing experience with a driver named Johnathan. He inaccurately claimed I didn't have a mask on when I did. He parked at the wrong location and despite texting me he arrived, I couldn't safely reach him due to traffic and a suitcase. After seeing my suitcase, Johnathan canceled the ride alleging I was mask-less, which was untrue as I was wearing an N-95 mask. I quickly booked another driver through the app who asked for a photo of me in the mask, confirming I was wearing it. This behavior makes me believe drivers are scamming customers for $5 each time they cancel falsely. It felt like Johnathan discriminated against me, possibly due to my appearance and having luggage. I demand a refund for the unwarranted charge and an apology. I always follow safety protocols and would never endanger others.

I ordered from Jersey Mike's through Uber Eats but Jersey Mike's claimed they didn't receive it. I reordered directly with Jersey Mike's, then got the Uber Eats delivery too. I won't pay for both. This issue is between Uber Eats and Jersey Mike's. Please ensure my debit card is not charged $39.34. I won't be using Uber Eats or Jersey Mike's again after this mess. The Jersey Mike's manager even said they filled the order multiple times, but that's not my fault. No one bothered to contact me to resolve this. What kind of customer service is that?

Yesterday at 10:30, I had booked an Uber Swift Dezire to Aster Medcity. The fare was [redacted]/-. I paid [redacted]/- and requested 20/- as change instead of the 25/- due. The driver insisted he had no change to return. As my appointment was at 11:00 am, I was in a rush. Regrettably, the driver took the entire [redacted]/- without returning the balance. Though it may seem insignificant, his actions were unjust. Drivers should carry sufficient change. How can they overcharge customers? I have taken numerous trips with Uber, and this is my first negative encounter. As a reputable company, Uber should address my issue. I am not seeking a mere apology but a refund for the excess amount charged.
