Hello, I am seeking advice regarding an email I received about renting an apartment in Edinburgh. The landlord, currently residing in Denmark, plans to show me the unit remotely. To secure the booking, I need to submit the first two months' rent and deposit through TripAdvisor. This process should guarantee a refund if I decide not to proceed within 2 days of check-in. The landlord, a TripAdvisor member since [redacted], requests personal details for the lease agreement. This includes my name, ID copy, WhatsApp contact, move-in date, and contract period. Hello I have 2 villas listed on TripAdvisor. One of them, Villa d’hôtes Harhoura Plage ID [redacted], is a waterfront Riad. I received a booking BR[redacted]3 on November 1st for Fuad from November 2nd to 4th, [redacted], for 2 guests. The guest wanted to arrive on November 1st instead, with 3 guests in total. Despite this discrepancy, I welcomed them in accordance with Moroccan tradition. However, they later mentioned 3 more guests would join. I explained the villa's policies, but they insisted the additional guests were male. I accommodated them even though the reservation was for 2 guests. Shortly after settling in, they abruptly left, claiming they wanted a villa where they could bring female companions. I declined their refund request. Later, I received inquiries for a villa suitable for Yemenite guests looking to entertain women, realizing it was them. Given our villa's cleanliness and positive reviews, their complaints of unclean beds and odors seemed fabricated. Dear Sir, I am in the process of changing the ownership of a business where the brand was obtained, but the previous owner closed the TripAdvisor account and disappeared. Unfortunately, I am encountering difficulties as your help center page for reporting this matter continues to display errors. I am feeling frustrated as I am unable to reach anyone for assistance. I mistakenly made a booking and would like an immediate refund. The status is pending, awaiting confirmation within 48 hours. For ticket redemption, I need to download the tickets for instructions. I'd also like to add more adventures in London such as Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Bath tours. The email was sent from a no-reply address, so for assistance, I will visit the Help Center. I am the owner of TERRA NOVA RESORT ELNIDO PALAWAN. I am addressing the issue concerning a reservation made by customer CW under BR [redacted]4 for the dates of December 16 to 19, [redacted], with a net amount payout of [redacted] USD. It has been 10 days since check-out, and I have yet to receive this payment despite numerous attempts through calls, chats, and requests to TripAdvisor Support Center. They have claimed that there was an issue with my PayPal account rejecting the payment, but upon checking, my PayPal account has confirmed that no payment from TripAdvisor was received or rejected. I have also attempted to change the payment method from PayPal to direct credit card or bank account, but TripAdvisor has not allowed me to do so.

Hello, I had made a reservation for a 10:00 am kayaking tour in Byron Bay, Australia today, December 29th. Unfortunately, I received a notification at 8:00 am that the tour was cancelled due to weather conditions. The booking was made through TripAdvisor, and they advised me to contact the agency for a refund. The tour still appears active on the TripAdvisor website, so I'm concerned about being charged the full amount if I request a refund within 24 hours of the tour time. I go by the username "Jae L" from Long Island, NY, on TripAdvisor, where I am a Level 6 Contributor. Today, when attempting to log into my account to post new reviews, I faced difficulty connecting. Although my Chrome browser was functional for other sites and my VPN was off, I could not reach TripAdvisor even after clearing cookies. The specific error message read: "Access Denied You don't have permission to access... on this server. Reference #18.c1bd[redacted][redacted]93ea." Surprisingly, I could access the site using Firefox. Has there been an issue with Chrome recently? Any insights would be helpful.

I am quite frustrated by the misleading information on your platform regarding hotels offering "free breakfast." Booking through your site leads to different booking platforms, only to find out upon arrival that the free breakfast is not included. After verifying the listing on your site once more, the mention of "breakfast available" is buried within the amenities section. This inconsistency happened at least twice, causing both annoyance and unnecessary expenses. I urge you to monitor and address these deceptive tactics utilized on your website. - Antonio C.

Dear Trip Advisor, I have been persistently trying to have a certain review removed as it unfairly labels my son as a hoodlum, which is completely untrue. The words used in the review suggest criminal behavior and are incredibly defamatory. Despite my numerous attempts, the review has not been taken down. I have provided definitions of the term "hoodlum" to show how derogatory it is, including synonyms such as gangster, thug, and ruffian. The review in question paints my son in a very negative light, using damaging language that Trip Advisor should not condone. The reviewer in question, with the username Migrating_North, has a history of leaving mostly negative reviews. This individual has even had previous racist comments removed. I urge you to thoroughly investigate this reviewer and consider removing their account from Trip Advisor. Kindly review this situation promptly and take appropriate action. Thank you.

We kindly request that you remove "Best Western" from the hotel name, leaving it as Albavilla Hotel & CO, and any other instances where it appears, especially on our webpage link. We have already updated the hotel name on our profile information page, but the change does not seem to have taken effect as we still appear as Best Western in Google search results and on the main page. I am concerned that I may have fallen victim to a scam through TripAdvisor. I recently made a booking for a villa in Dubai on dubizzle.com, where the host requested payment via TripAdvisor, a platform I hadn't used previously. After encountering payment issues and contacting TripAdvisor support, I was directed to a website requiring me to go through a suspicious verification process involving submitting photos of my Emirates ID and creating a 3D image through head movements. Now, my communication with the villa owner has ceased, and the links provided during the process no longer work. I am worried about the legitimacy of the procedure and the safety of my personal information. I suspect I may have been targeted by a fraudulent scheme and seek clarification regarding the described verification process and the possibility of being directed to a fake TripAdvisor site.

I bought a $59.95 AUD voucher for Green Train in Noumea through TripAdvisor. The voucher didn't appear in my account; however, I received it. I tried to cancel through my account but couldn't, so I emailed them within the 24-hour cancellation period. I'm seeking a refund and not willing to pay $66 USD per month to unfamiliar individuals to potentially get it. Being eligible for a refund from TripAdvisor, I expect an Australian contact number for support. It's surprising that a company of this magnitude lacks a non-US contact number, making the refund process overly complicated. My attempts to cancel via email failed due to the purchase not reflecting in my account, a recurring issue based on online reviews.

I was contacted by Seth from Three Brothers Boards on Sunday, February 12th regarding the cancellation of our paddleboard reservation due to bad weather. Although the refund was processed by his company, it was labeled as acquired by TripAdvisor Experiences/Viator. I've been waiting over a week for the $[redacted].10 refund to reflect on my credit card, but it has not shown up yet. I booked a one-night stay for three adult females through Booking.com at the Residence Inn and Suites in Ft. Myers, FL. Despite being recommended by Booking.com to contact TripAdvisor, I proceeded to book a room at La Quinta Inn and Suites nearby due to the unavailability of rooms with two queen beds. However, upon check-in, the desk clerk, Adrianna, openly announced our room number, which was concerning given other guests could overhear. When I requested a different room due to privacy concerns, she offered a room with a king bed despite there being three of us. The room itself did not meet our expectations as it lacked basic amenities and cleanliness. I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a refund.

I made a reservation on March 1st for the 4-Hour St. Pete Pier to Egmont Key Tour for two people at $[redacted] via Trip Advisor. The tour was set for March 3rd at 9am but was cancelled because of strong winds. The notification for cancellation came through a text message from [redacted] promising a refund, which I have not received. I believe the delay might be due to booking through Trip Advisor instead of directly with the tour company. I kindly request a refund to be processed to my account.

I attempted to reserve a vacation villa in France at Boutique French Manoir in the South of France for 15, 20, or 30 guests. The owner informed me that the days we requested were not all available. After negotiating, we settled on booking from Wednesday, June 26th to Wednesday, July 3rd, [redacted], for a group of 24 people. The owner confirmed the reservation yesterday. However, when I tried to finalize the booking, I received an error message stating that these dates are no longer available.

I'm encountering a couple of issues with my account. Firstly, I can't add another date under "Product" because the software is indicating it's already taken even though it's not. Secondly, I am unable to remove dates under "Availability" that are different from those listed under "Product". There seems to be a lack of compatibility between these two sections. Additionally, my travel agent has reported that bookings are not accessible. How can I enable bookings for travel agents on my site? I had a booking for the Philippines Tour scheduled for March 8 with reference number [redacted]11. Unfortunately, my husband and I fell ill the night before, so I had to cancel. The operator, Maurice, agreed to reschedule for March 10. We confirmed the new date and time for pick-up between 8:30 and 9 AM. However, the operator never showed up, and we missed the tour. We had to book a private tour for $[redacted] on short notice. I believe I should be refunded for the original tour since they failed to fulfill their commitment to reschedule.
