I started working w KFC on July **, ****. I was hired as shift manager and currently still in training. Love my job, so far so good! So before starting I had to do a list of tasks on talent reef which I did in a timely manner. One of the tasks was about my pay. I had the option of a pay card or direct deposit. I decided to go with DD. I put in my bank info correctly and I e-signed the document on July **, ****. Three days before I actually started working there. So I have been going through unforseen circumstances and having financial hardship bc my previous employer went out of business and decided to let me know * days ahead of time. I finally landed the job at KFC and very excited today because its payday. Wake up this am and didnt get paid. I went to work on time to ask my GM and he was very clueless and very hesisantant to tell me why, but I knew he knew something. So he contacted my AM and I did tell her I do not work for free and Im gonna go home for the rest of the day bc I didnt get paid. So her response to me was It was our fault you didnt get paid and i apologize the GM didnt submit paperwork. So she said I would get a check tommorrow which is August *, ****. Then she proceeds to say when I come bring your check im gonna think about your manager position bc I dont hire managers who dont have team spirit and she also said she will be writing me up (documentation) if I go home. Very nonchantly and lack of empathy of how I was feeling. So I decided to clock out and go home. As im sitting at home i receive an email from AM stating I will be getting paid Friday Aug. *, ****. So at this point I am very upset and afraid of losing my job and having my position as manager threatned, being documented for a big mistake on KFC behalf. I just want to get paid thats it.
