The other day when she deposited a check, you placed a hold on the account without speaking to me. I am Minnie Winship, her aunt, and she is my caregiver. We are struggling to pay bills and now facing eviction due to the hold on the account. I am in a hospital bed and need assistance to resolve this issue today. I need assistance! I have been struggling to get a reimbursement credit on my credit card for a dispute since December 4, [redacted]. The reimbursement department keeps asking for information, closes the case, opens a new one, and asks for more information. I have done everything asked of me and have faced numerous obstacles. Capital One Reimbursement Department is now asking for a written letter containing the information, case number, and my signature, although they already have all this information. They say the letter can be submitted via fax, email, or U.S. mail. I have already mailed the letter, but it seems to be missing. The email they sent for me to submit the letter cannot be opened, and I don't have access to a fax machine. I contacted the customer service line this morning. I had a discussion with a representative and later with a supervisor, Theodore. I expressed that over the past decade, I have paid an average of $70 in interest monthly, totaling around $[redacted] in profit for Capital One. I have always made payments on time and been a loyal customer. I aim to clear my remaining balance of $[redacted] and keep using the card. I inquired with Theodore about a reduction considering my loyalty and the substantial interest paid. However, he stated they don’t offer such reductions for current accounts, but delinquent accounts might qualify. I am eager to settle my debt, but I believe Capital One should show some leniency. Theodore's response was not in agreement with my request.

I had to cancel a trip out of the country twice last year due to the pandemic. In March, I canceled and rescheduled to October following my travel agent's advice. Later, my agent recommended canceling the trip in August. I've been trying to get my $4,[redacted] refund through my travel agent, but the company kept delaying, citing office closures. After almost a year, I learned that the company is now out of business. The travel insurance company won't issue a refund due to my cancellation during the pandemic. My agent advised me to contact my credit card company to seek a refund for a service I paid for but never received. They are asking to update my mailing address and view the statement by clicking a link or contacting customer service. The email also suggests going paperless. The message comes from [redacted] and includes details related to my account. It advises not to reply but to reach out through their official website. The sender is urging to add their email address to the contact list for future communications. The email provides general information about Capital One products and services and includes company contact details at the end.

On June 30th, I called to report an unauthorized payment on my credit card for Hulu. The agent agreed to lock the card and send me a new one, which I confirmed even though I would be abroad. However, on July 8th, another payment of $[redacted].96 was charged to the same card, despite the assurance. This situation is causing me stress while I am out of the country. I am confused as to how a locked card allowed another transaction without being activated. Kindly rectify this issue promptly. Additionally, I request that any future payments to Hulu be cancelled, as I do not have a subscription with them. I am appreciative of my payment alerts that highlighted these transactions as potential scams. Looking forward to your assistance on this matter.

I deposited money into an account without knowing there was a $9+ overdraft restriction. Despite contacting Capital One beforehand and no one informing me of the restriction, it was not disclosed. After 2.5 hours of calls with 3 supervisors, each provided conflicting information. Tyler recommended opening a new account online or returning funds to my credit union. However, Collette stated I couldn't open a new account until the old one was closed, offering to mail a check with no option to transfer to my credit union. Dillon submitted a request to return funds to my credit union and close the account in 3-5 business days, unable to expedite. Stressed as a senior, I seek a resolution to this prolonged issue after speaking with multiple inconsistent representatives.

Lost Amazon Gift Card Dear Sirs/Madam, I am reaching out regarding a $50 Amazon Gift Card that my 87-year-old mother, Joan Molero, received after redeeming points from her Capital One Bank Credit Card but has unfortunately misplaced. Despite contacting Capital One, they were unable to assist us in replacing the lost gift card without it being lost in the mail. I am seeking help to retrieve the Amazon Gift Card number from Capital One or Amazon so that we can determine if it can still be used, even without the physical card in our possession. The accompanying letter for the gift card is dated May 6, [redacted], and we have been told that Capital One does not have a record of the Amazon gift card number. Despite my efforts to use the Capital One order number to locate it, I have had no success. The order number from Capital One for the gift card is 43a3c4aa-adc-11eb85d2-0242acii0007. I understand the customer's responsibility once the gift card is delivered, but I believe that providing the Amazon Card number or verifying its usage would be a reasonable request. I purchased plane tickets through the Capital One Travel website. Due to changes made by the airline to the departure time, I now need to adjust my reservation. Since I made the booking via Capital One Travel, the airline explained they could not assist with changes, directing me back to Capital One. Despite attempting to modify my reservation online, I received a message prompting me to contact Capital One Travel by phone. My multiple attempts to reach them have been unsuccessful, as I endured a 2-hour and 8-minute hold yesterday, and a 1-hour and 45-minute hold this morning, both times eventually disconnecting without speaking to anyone. I also tried the callback option, but encountered an error message indicating it was not available. Unfortunately, I do not have access to alternative contact methods such as email or chat. It seems that engaging with a Capital One Travel representative over the phone is the sole avenue for changing my return flight, which has proven challenging.

I would like to lodge a complaint with the company, My Pillow, located at [redacted] 4th Ave E, Shakopee, MN [redacted], as they have failed to provide me with a refund despite various promises. I placed an order (#[redacted]7) on 7/3/[redacted] for a product worth $36.72. Although the transaction appeared on my account on 7/5/[redacted], my product was never delivered. After contacting their customer service for the past 8 days, I have received conflicting information about the shipping details. Fed Ex claimed to have shipped it, but then My Pillow said there was an error and it was sent to the Post Office. However, the Post Office had no record of the package. Despite several promised delivery dates, I am yet to receive the product. I even reached out to their owner, Mr. Mike Lindell, on 7/12/[redacted] about this issue. I've been a Capital One user for about a month now, and my experience has been the worst. I was transferred to the security department, where I was asked a strange question about a school near me that I couldn't answer correctly. They blocked my account for 5 days, which is crazy during a pandemic. I called today to inquire why nobody had contacted me, and was told to wait 5 business days. I find this unacceptable. Why can't they ask me the security questions I set up, instead of random ones I have no idea about? I would not recommend Capital One based on this experience. I hope to hear from management regarding this issue either by call or email.

Hello Capital One, Thank you for reviewing my application. In the past, I made the mistake of seeking help from a psychologist in Alberta. At that time, Alberta's policy tended to diagnose everyone with schizophrenia. After relocating from Fort McMurray to Red Deer, then British Columbia, I didn't think much of it... until I moved to New Brunswick and the hospital attempted to harm me based on false accusations of assaulting my aunt. During this time, I was dealing with a debt proposal... How concerning is the hospital's behavior? Remember, if you can manage to pay for gas, stay fueled up, prevent running out of gas, and avoid suicidal thoughts, you are doing well. The debt collector called and mentioned that I should sue, but unfortunately, it's not feasible given the state of the Canadian system, which I find to be corrupt and illogical. I trust the debt collector's advice. Now, I have noticed that other English-speaking countries have different criteria for defining "schizophrenia" compared to Canada. British Columbia's definition on their website aligns with the UK's. Therefore, I currently reside here, focusing on recovering financially and medically. The CMPA supports questionable pharmaceuticals, while individuals on Reddit express their frustrations. How does Canada plan to make progress with such ongoing issues? It's quite perplexing. If my application is declined due to the outstanding $7.8k debt, I understand. Credit Karma suggested I apply for the card, so I did. Best Regards, MM

Capital One is refusing to authorize Boost Mobile to collect my bill. Despite having sufficient funds, Capital One claims there are none when attempting to pay with my card or my husband's. It's unclear if the issue lies with Capital One or Boost Mobile. The service will remain suspended until the bill is settled, making it impossible to communicate via phone.

Earlier today my account was restricted due to a charge in another state that seemed suspicious. After contacting support and verifying my identity, the restriction was lifted, and I was instructed to resubmit the charge. The charge went through but my account was restricted again, despite approval. When I called again for assistance, a higher verification was requested, asking for my driver's license. After speaking with a manager who couldn't explain the situation, I requested to escalate further but was informed the higher manager doesn't take calls, which I found disappointing for customer service standards. I expressed my intention to close my accounts and leave negative reviews if the issue persists. The charge must be processed promptly without additional verification delays and an explanation for the repeated restrictions needs to be provided. I am a tailor at a high-end men's clothing store with prestigious clients like two CFOs from major banks and the president of a large sports company. They value my opinion, and I have a meeting with one of the bankers this Thursday.
